Maybe I'm stupid, but I can't understand what's the big deal about concealed carry of guns. I don't want to show that I have gun. It's just a matter of privacy for me. I don't want to be assaulted from behind by somebody who is trying to steal my gun. Also don't want to look like an idiot who is showing everyone his gun. I don't see what's the difference between open carry and concealed carry in terms of public safety. So why concealed carry is illegal in some states?

I always figured it was because a lot of stores or private establishments have policies against weapons, so CC is the only way to legally still be protected while in the store.
