So a person who managed to start a popular movement and prevent gun control laws wouldn't be to our advantage even if they prevented guns from being banned in the US. All because they were ignorant of the JQ? They couldn't be used by our side and we should only work against them?

Edit: I saw a few minutes of the documentary about him that was posted and I'm convinced he's clearly working against us. I never really followed him before but I've seen enough.
