From what I understand she wasn't hit in the head or anything, it's possible she could have survived. It was also very public and he hit the director with the same bullet. Pretty sure it was an accident even if it was due to extreme negligence, arrogance, and stupidity it would still be manslaughter. How in the hell can you kill someone and not get charged with manslaughter at a minimum.
