  1. Changes all the prices to 100x, so a single case of beer will be $900-1800.
  2. Give every customer a spin on the wheel, to see what their discount is!
  3. 99% chance to spin 99% off. If someone happens to get unlucky, just have them spin again.

So the thieves would be limited to stealing 1/100th, or risk felony.

There's probably something obvious that I'm missing.

just another push to buy everything online and have a robot fill your order and put the bags in your car. the steal up to $999 was to kill the small buisness. amazon and walmart only

No you just have to push a button and wait 30 minutes to an hour for someone with keys to show up to unlock the case with your item, then goto the front and wait for them again at a register for anything worth buying. you end up waiting hours just to save 3 cents.
