Even though it’s legitimately a massive inconvenience to myself and my employer, what would they actually try to pull if I just decided not to show up. I realize fines and jail time as well as a misdemeanor are on the table, but is that really even likely?

Shouldn't we want Poal people on juries? One reasonable voice on a jury can make a big difference.

Yes this. Show up and be a voice of reason.

The voice of reason would tell you to not capitulate to the charade that is the US justice system. You give it legitimacy by participating, it does not serve you, not even when you’re the jury. They’ll give you a fraction of what you get paid to work that day, turn around and tax you for it, then use that money to paint BLM murals.

And it could be a nigger that did nigger things and gets off. Or a white man getting railroaded that you could save. The system might suck but it is what we are stuck with right now.
