Even though it’s legitimately a massive inconvenience to myself and my employer, what would they actually try to pull if I just decided not to show up. I realize fines and jail time as well as a misdemeanor are on the table, but is that really even likely?

Living in a pretty sane, white, uber conservative area my guy.

Ok, then go full on spiracy theorist and throw out a comment about UFOs being real or something else off.... The actual chances of you getting on a jury anyway are slim, I've done jury duty 3 times and always got sent home early that first day.

Good point. I almost got picked for a district court case and then they dismissed me when I said I’ve experienced domestic abuse before lol.
