Dude...put an ad on Craigslist. Do residential work only. Have references ready to email. There is a TON of work just on county road 30A alone, all vacation rentals. You could probably just hang fans and lights for the rest of your life, for 100 bucks an hour, no joke. GIT DOWN HERE! Friendliest people on Earth.
No niggers? How hot does summer get? It'd still be scary being that close to the East Coast population and 2000 miles from any family or friends. West Texas seems promising, a thousand miles from any major population, fair climate for gardening and fishing and hunting galore. Living on a sailboat fishing all the time in Florida sounds pretty awesome too.
Almost no niggers, it's too expensive to live here. Everyone has guns and goes to church. Very clean, great roads...I could go on and on. I survived the summer just fine, so did 20 million others.
