Do you breath in mask all day, then you take it off with your hands, fold it and put it in your pocket and then shake hands with all your friends outside or grab public doors or pay money in shop then your transfer all that shit you have been exhaling all day to all these other people via hands and whole muzzle thing becomes so fucking pointless that I am getting frustrated even while I am writing this fucking sentence.
Yup, you said it. I wear glasses and it's painfully obvious how worthless these masks are because I can literally see the vapor from my breath escaping into the air right in front of my eyes.
There are masks that actually do filter the air and do make a difference in the transmission of viruses. Of course you have to wear them properly and not touch them at all. But if anyone in charge actually gave a shit, they would mandate N95s instead of what they're doing.

I think that depends on where you live. In the South, people ain't wearing them unless their employers make them.
Because the governments demand that you wear them.

You forgot to mention perhaps the most important, most detrimental thing about wearing a mask for a full work day- it forces you to TOUCH YORU OWN FACE every time you want to take a fucking sip of water.
What gets you sicker more than anything else? Touching your face with hands contaminated with an infectious agent; rubbing your eye, scratching your nose/cheek, wiping your mouth, etc.. These are the things that will get the flu or w/e you touched on the doorknob to actually enter your body.
And wearing a mask all day forces you to frequently either touch your face, or come very close to touching your face. Either that, or become dehydrated from not drinking enough water in a day. Either way, medical institution wins- you develop a condition you may need their help with.
