What is 'cool' or 'uncool', what is 'in' or 'so yesterday' is just peer pressure BS that control freaks use to manipulate you....never buy into faddists and trendsters blather. Take a course in 'critical thinking' if offered; otherwise study it on your own. Avoid commie controlled college and opt for trade schools. Guys should look deeply into MGTOW before thinking of romancing bitches, if only to even the playing field. The history taught in public schools and colleges are skewered and expurgated by leftist-libtards to promote their agenda; don't trust it. If you find a banned book like Mein Kampf, assume it contains something you need to know, that control freaks don't want you to know, and at least read it with an open mind....then judge. Never ever let anyone else decide that sort of shit for you.
The more you let idiots control you, the more they will seek to control you. Learn how and when to say NO! and stick to your guns. Never stop learning or being willing to investigate, and never get too lazy to factcheck stuff, and I don't mean using others (like commie Snopes) to do it for you. Your trust should always be slowly earned, over time and via effort; not freely given. Friends come and friends go, so limit their influence over you....todays BFF may well be a distant memory ten years from now. The biggest favor you can do yourself is to become the best 'you' possible, so cultivate body and mind. Martial arts (particularly Neijia and Chi-kung) is excellent for body, and some form of regular meditation is necessary to gain control over an unruly mind. Vipassana meditation is a fairly easy method that can be learned from a book, but there are likely thousands of other methods. Start slowly at 15 minutes every day, and when that becomes easy, increase it to whatever you are comfortable with, but it has to happen every day. I see silly youngsters on https://quickrant.com/ all the time wanting to kill themselves for the most trivial reasons....self discipline and self-control eludes them. Understand that bad actions and bad choices sooner or later have bad consequences and bring negative results. Life is like a chess game...cultivate the ability to stay at least one move ahead of whichever opponent or problem you are dealing with. Contingency planning is a good start toward developing a 'futurist mindset'.
