I don't think it does. You probably just went into caffeine withdrawal which caused the headache. Consuming caffeine then makes the headache go away.

It definitely does. Not that you're wrong about withdrawal causing it as well, but caffeine is often prescribed for head aches after certain surgeries.

I was told to buy over the counter STAY AWAKE trucker pills after a spinal tap to help with the terrible head aches, and it worked! I think it has something to do with relaxing your blood vessels, similar to nitroglycerin with angina.

A headache could be your body dumping something like salt/heavy metals out of your brain. When you drink the coffee your body has to deal with this and it is just stopping this "detox"

Yeah this is probably what's happening in most cases, but I do recall reading somewhere that caffeine increases the efficacy of some painkillers, like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. That could also be bullshit like most things you read are.

Maybe it's just that caffeine makes you feel great in general, lol

It improves the effectiveness of aspirin. Some aspirin preparations like powders also contain some caffeine.

Goodys is on the list.
