I just bought a house and there is a 3 gallon container of the stuff in the storage shed . The previous owner was an electrician and God fearing man so I don't think he was drinking it . Anyone know its' purpose / use ?

Nice! I think there was a post not too long ago about using alcohol to disinfect. If i was you, id make sure that container is air-fucking-tight, and keep it stored away, just in case.
