EDIT... EARTH SPINNING ABOUT 1000 MPH... STILL SAME PROBLEMS JUST NOT AS BAD

And then it adds 500 to 600 mph at that altitude? So with the rotation of the earth its going 2200 mph then adds 600 mph approximately and maintains that speed to go faster then the earth which is 30k feet below it is on a much larger sphere at 30k up? So jets at 30k are actually going 2800 mph to go faster then the spinning earth and when they go opposite direction of the spin? What is going on with that?

Lots of answers (do a search for why the atmosphere rotates). Basic answer, like with a fluid, there's friction with the lower layers. The upper layers aren't isolated from the lower ones.

On the surface that is absolutely ridiculous. Water it kind of makes sense it is thicker and it is contained in a bowl. The atmosphere that theory seems ridiculous

To an insect the air is like honey, due to their high surface area and low weight. It might seem crazy, but gases have friction.
