He is a kid who was thrust into a life or death situation few of you will ever even come close to. Even without taking a life, the stress of that event is more than enough to cause PTSD. However, he had to take 2 lives and injure a third individual in one evening. You better fucking believe the kid has some residual emotional clutter from that. He is now also in a fight for the rest of his life against a govt that is tripping over its own feet in an attempt to destroy the rest of his life. So yeah, I think the kid got a little emotional there and I think it was more than appropriate.

my uncle recently recounted to me his first time killing an enemy combatant (from back in Desert Storm) and the story was all Chuck Norris bangbang shoot em up until he got to the part where he mag dumped on an unsuspecting Royal Guard dude who had an AK pointed at him (without round in the chamber, luckily) and my tuff as nails uncle broke down EXACTLY like Kyle did on stand. Not really tears but laboring the control of breath and words as he retold the story. The Iraqi had a picture of his kids in his coat pocket when my unkz searched the body. Kyle has PTSD for fuckin sure. Anyone talkin tuff otherwise (including myself) need to stand down and observe from the sidelines lest we appear retarded and ignorant.

I didn't vote, 'cause none of the options fit. So I'll just say my vote: they were real, he's a kid, and obviously he's going through the process of learning to live with what it means to take a human life. He's a strong, bright young man, however. So he'll eventually get over it and be all the better for it. But I 100% believe it was a genuine reaction.

I had a look on Reddit to see how the Left reacted, I was actually surprised that the majority of threads were of people mocking him? Like I knew they were degenerates, but non-nigger degenerates who lacked any empathy? They better not make me global dictator, my list just got way bigger.

That's because the plebbit leftists don't like anyone treading on their territory to garner sympathy for themselves, or to otherwise drag the spotlight off them. They all suffer from narcissistic personality disorder. That's why they say such vile things about anyone who achieves something they cannot do, gets something they do not get, or garners sympathy or attention they personally do not receive.

If I was in the same situation in front of a bunch of people where I was under heavy scrutiny, I'd be doing everything in my power to hold back tears like Kyle.

Everyone expects men to hold it in and be emotionally in control at all times. While that may be a ideal to try to personally emulate, it is also unrealistic.

Even army grunts back when men were tougher can break under scrutiny. I can vaguely recall a video on youtube where a new recruit disobeyed a order (cant recall the reason). The military court was doing everything they could to verbally chastise him and make him think he was either about to be court martialed or worse.

When this was happening to the grunt you could see him starting to break down. He went from being rather calm, to agitated, to quivering lips to breakdown.

Him disobeying the order for all I know might have been justified but that didn't stop his response.

With that in mind I do not find it unreasonable that Kyle would have a hard time holding back tears. Hes a growing adult trying to comes to terms with reality, and sometimes trying to deal with it, is not a pretty sight.

If I was 17 or 18 years old and I had gunned down 2 people in self defense, I would probably break down at one point or another. Killing people is a difficult burden to carry. It is something that will haunt you for the rest of your life, even if the killings were justified.

as far as i can tell, this kid has taken everything like a champ. he is afraid(rightfully so) of going to prison, and he is smart enough to know that is a real possibility. hell have to look over his shoulder from now on, even if he is aquitted. also, im sure that his defense has coached him abit, so, who knows.
