The mind goes through some difficult changes with the JQ. It isnt just realizing the evil one group does, its realizing your entire history and understanding of the world is wrong. Its why people cling to “but my dentist was a good guy” so hard.

Agreed. Which is why I think many people would rather remain ignorant or "not care", like, how can you not fucking care? But the alternative for many people is the inability to handle the truth which leads to too much anguish.
I dont agree, he's still very young and that's not something everyone catches on to early on.
