Cheap to produce. Easy to promote. Easier to swindle one rapper than a band. In that world all controversy is good for business and there will always be controversy. Never any artistic integrity so they will always sell out. Not just ring tones and liquor bottles. Rappers today have their face on cereal boxes and potatoe chips bags.
I feel like this is probably close to the correct answer. There's all kinds of stories about bands getting shitty record deals. Niggers are dumb and easy to manipulate. Probably too stupid to get a manager or lawyer to actually look at the contracts they sign. Put Yung NigNog on the label, have ghost writers put out a few hits. Promote the fuck out of him. Cut him a check for $300,000 and keep the other 1.5M.
