What is your strategy during the zombie epidemic?

Mine is to secure the three basic perimeters:

Tactic #1. A gun store.

Tactic #2. A hospital.

Tactic #3. A supermarket.

In order to survive you need guns, medicines and food.

Is there something I am missing?

Not so good for those close quarters where you're scrounging for canned goods and twinkies in a small kitchenette in a motel off Route 80. Or so I've heard. Split the difference and use a bastard sword.

That's what I originally said. Use a bastard-sword or a katana, because they're usable in close quarters.
