Everything should be legal so long as the behavior doesn't directly infringe someone else's rights. Making it illegal provides no benefit to anyone but the prison system, and the street gangs/dealers.

The problem is how do we you fund repairing damage done by drug users, mostly to themselves. Do they give up their right to free e-room treatment? Do we turn away sick people if we believe their condition arises from drug use? Any attempt to deprive drug users of anything, even money in taxes on the drugs, will lead to cheaper illegal drugs appearing as an alternative. The war against Americans continues.

For some it would mean a lifetime of involuntary servitude (unconstitutional). Most of them are not productive people so it would take a long time to pay off a $50k bill for inpatient treatment.

And they should have a right to as long as they don't require others to subsidize their choice. Unfortunately, we currently have a rather extensive and expensive "safety net" in place that they will be far more likely to use than the few unfortunate people for whom it is intended.

If you are going to make things illegal and enforce laws, kids should be protected from becoming some nigger or sandnigger's drug-addict sex slave. I make a distinction between those that go out of their way to find drugs and become an addict voluntarily, and those that made a mistake as a teen or younger or those that are given drugs without any choice.
