im pretty sure than even in california you dont file paperwork for considering a fellow close friends, and how in tarnation would you disable your brother from knowing before anyone else?
It's something I heard, but apparently some states allow for public disclosure of seller decisions, so you can get in trouble for the following in Colorado
- Sending a letter to seller stating intent for buying property
- Meeting with seller to discuss house
- Accepting lower offer than someone else because they are your friend
- Not viewing all offers
Apparently, recently it's become a much bigger issue than before
