It needs to be rack mountable, 1-2Us. Ideally I'd like to spend no more than $300 on it. Any more than that and it needs to be well worth it.

Doesn't really need to have beefy specs, just a decent dual or quad core CPU, 4-8 GB RAM, and it doesn't even need to have a hard drive as I have plenty of spares on hand. Must have two or more NICs, gigabit or better.

I'm open to application-oriented equipment if it can meet my needs, but the current plan is to just throw OPNsense on the machine.

It looks like if you wait a while (or are willing to buy from early access) that they are working on a POE version too. https://store.ui.com/collections/early-access/products/dream-machine-pro-se-ea

I may do just that. Already watched the, I guess trailer for that device on YT. Considering I'm going to have to save for a little bit anyway, the release of the SE might actually align with my budget. PoE would be a big plus, because my WAP doesn't have a DC port. It only does PoE, and I'm currently using an adapter.
