I'm considering buying a new pickup. There's one localish, standard trans with 150k miles and asking $3.5k.

The truck would mainly be used as a work truck hauling a 5x8 utility trailer with about ~ 750lbs.

Not looking for brand fanboyism, just people with real life experience driving/working on these trucks and whether it's a good buy or not. It's a bit of a drive (3 hrs) so not something I'm willing to just go casually look at in person, I only want to drive out there if I know I'm buying it.

Not bad miles for the age fords get shit for transmissions but I’ve owned plenty with high miles without issues Rust is the biggest problem look it over well Expect to be doing ball joints and tie rods I’ve had issues with the 4x4 system semi engaging with a slight vacuum leek at the actuator
