Not sure why people keep repeating this crap as its just not true besides what good have all you guns done you are all still being screwed over. Most of what was destroyed were just junk and there are now more firearms in private Australian hands than ever before.

not sure which timeline you are from, but in this one, an estimated 2/3 guns were confiscated back in 1996. now you need the permission of the government to have one, and, "personal defence" is not regarded as a legitimate reason.

(((Wikipedia))) then it must be true. They were never allowed for personal defence before or after that event and ‘permission’ is no more than submitting an application form at the local gun dealer. Since the event the number of firearms in private hands has grown to a number significantly above what it ever was before the buyback and now they are new high quality firearms rather than the old crap which got destroyed. Sorry, you didnt expand on exactly how your guns are stopping the government going rogue over there!
