To go full bore double barrel pedantic, strawberries are not berries, taxonomically speaking. A member of the rose clan, the red flesh is a flower providing a substrate for the "seeds," which in actuality are the fruit. So, fruit adjacent? A rose by any other name...
I don't think there are a lot of botanist here, we are using the culinary usage the word fruit.
Fair enough.
If I sauteed zucchini and tomatoes for you it would be delicious but you wouldn't call it fried berries. But it would be botanically correct.
