Hello. Here's my idea for a styrofoam blender: Surely you've seen the guy with the upside-down-lawnmower-blender. He runs into problems because the thing is not engineered to operate upside-down. Would it be feasible to disassemble at least part of the shield of the lawnmower (The top), flip the blades on the arbor so the vacuum is reversed, and simply put this assembly over a grate? You get the idea.
Thank you.

Why not just weld up a frame and setup a bearing block and a belt with a pully on the new bearing block and a pully on the motors crank shaft so you can mount the engine right side up.

"Right side up" in this case, is actually upside-down according to the people who designed the motor, so there's problems with crap getting into the electrics and weird things getting loose. My welding skills are rudimentary at best, but I see your point. Might be a good challenge to try this with a regular gas engine. I also have an old jointer motor this might work very well with. Thx for the idea.

What material do you want for what?

I'm actually thinking of making a sauna or saunas. So a tiny structure that would only need a radiant barrier for insulation. Sort of like a tiny human oven, if you could imagine such a thing. And no, I won't use a wooden door.

Maybe have to get a blade from opposite turning mower, or heat and twist. Add a large leaf collection bag and likely it work. Getting mulching blades may be good too. I like aircrete, but the foam method requires baking to achieve long term chemical stability so you don’t start weakening at 5-10 years.

You could also add a small in feed hole to the deck, and a cover with exit hole under the mower to make it cuisinart around a bit before bagging. Some playing around with it will be needed.

Maybe sharpen the other side of the blade and install upside down.

Or just a small electric wood chipper.

Thought about that but I hear that ends up just crushing the styrofoam.

This was my first idea. Leaning towards this.

Mulching blades is a great idea. Thx

Please post how it goes, I went away from aircrete because where I was building i couldn’t bake the form in place house, and styrofoam wasn’t easily available as a collected recycling resource.

I settled on lime stabilized compressed earth blocks.
