I know why, because your parents and teachers were spoiled little fruits who never had to deal with the real world. Everything was given to them without any effort and they took it for granted, as you do. This belief is more prevalent here than in the more "normie" spaces of the internet.

When I was coming up, we at least had a culture of toughness, men wanted to be seen as tough, even if they weren't. Now it's mostly shameless fags. Can't even shame their sorry asses, they have no concept of pride. That was done intentionally as part of the culture shift.

No martial arts instructor would have told you this bullshit 30 years ago and certainly no SF operator, I knew people like that growing up and that's definitely not the advice I received. They would all tell you to fight for your honor, even if you knew you'd get your ass kicked: to fight hard and earn respect. Why? I got news for these phonies: martial arts and warfare, for that matter, was NOT necessarily invented for self defense or "survival". It was invented for men to maintain their dignity vs other men, that's why men fought duels to the death over personal insults at the time of the founding of this nation.
