I dont have the links saved but I know it's a disaster as far as miscarriages are concerned, which makes sense given the nature of the placenta.

Regarding the placenta, can you elaborate?

The placenta is a highly vascular organ whose purpose includes gas exchange. Clotting in the placenta would be catastropic to the developing baby.
