I should probably do this quickly because I can feel it in the air that people are going to start acting crazy again.

My mother got lasic, she was basically blind for a week or two until it healed. It worked for the first couple of years, she didn't have to wear glasses. Nowadays, she has to wear an even stronger lens prescription than she did before the lasic... and now wears them all of the time instead of just for reading.

It didn't last very long for her, and it made her eyes worse over time.

Lasik corrects your current vision. That is why they don't recommend it if your prescription changes often. It sounds like she was a bad candidate with changing needs. Some people need new prescriptions every 2 years. Others can use one pair of glasses for 10 years with no problems.

My math teacher got it and he had perfect vision for 40 years. He said he only wished he got it sooner.
