Nick shoulders, mountain sprout, old crow medicine show, Sierra Ferrell, bella white, brothers comatose, the devil makes 3 are a few good ones I listen to
Nobody can banjo like that gap-toothed retarded kid in Deliverance. After listening to him, nobody else sounds any good ... except maybe Roy Clark -- who, now that I think about it, sort of resembled the gap-tooted retarded kid.
That was either Earl Scruggs or Billy Redden who played that Deliverance banjo, can’t remember which.
The actor was a jew though

Just White people things (thank God)
Dad was a big fan, and passed it on to me. Trying to get my kids into it as well. I don't really know many bands/songs, just pull up searches on YouTube one in a while. Thanks for dropping names, I will check it out.
Billy Strings is a great starting point, does countless old school covers, and his newgrass resonates with the younger crowd as well as the older generation
He's got the greatest mandolin player in the game!
Check out Scythian. One of my absolute favorites.
I’m interested in newgrass, new term to me
