Thanks again. Yes, it is just a card in a slot. I just opened the case and discovered the graphics card has a small fan mounted on the top. I inserted the cable back into the power supply, booted it up, and found out the fan is no longer turning. Could the graphics card have critically overheated at some point and failed?

I forgot to mention that my computer monitor is suddenly not picking up at all now even though it works on my laptop. Do you think the card could have overheated and is now defective?

It could have failed by overheating or the PC covered your butt my stopping the card from baking the motherboard. If there is way to replace that fan do it.
