Let’s say a health mandate was completely unavoidable, but you had a choice in what that mandate was. What would a benevolent government that actually cares about its people mandate to fight back against a virus that supposedly kills fatties and elderly people?

1 hour of daily exercise.
Limit/ban access to junk/fast food.
Weekly fasting.
A mix of all of the above.
Send fat people to camps, lol.
Experimental mRNA gene therapy juice.

The first 3 affect everyone. Making the slobs go to fat camps only deals with those who can't control the first 3 on their own.

The "man date" that gets politicians fucked by inmates until they die.

Thats the best man date.

Just to play nice for your poll, I'd send fat people to camps. Simple enough, it's a single mandate that only affects people who are the problem. That's easily the most fair option. Maybe give the people in the camps the experimental drugs, too. Why not, you've already violated their human rights.

But, I hate these kind of hypotheticals. They limit options, options like "Fuck You!", or, "Send anyone who obeys the mandates to the camps.", or, "Shoot the person enforcing the mandate in the face."

I can see where you’re coming from, but the idea here is you’d be the leader and you’d HAVE to make the call. So I guess you shooting yourself would be an optional answer.

Interesting to see the results so far, though. Looks like I’m a bad person for wanting to enforce daily exercise.

Ohhh, I thought you were saying we got to vote for which mandate we wanted a dictator to pass down to us. So, I'm the dictator here? Ooooh, I could have fun with that, haha.

I'm all about the top three answers, BUT, I think sending the fat people to camps kind of handles the problem on it's own. If you're not fat, you're probably doing one or more of the healthy options.

You don't deserve freedom if you think any mandate is acceptable. Government mandates should be absolutely outlawed because they just lead to erosion of freedom and accumulation of power by those who should not hold any.

Fair point. As much as I’d like to mandate exercise as the world’s dictator, there’s no guarantee that the next guy would be a tyrannical cocksucker.

What we have now is extremely dehumanizing and satanic.

It was a "choose one if you had to" scenario. Life is filled with them. Those who cant accept that life sometimes gives no good options and and still select from the list as a hypothetical are basically being children.

It was a "choose one if you had to" scenario.

That only applies to the natural world where you cannot change some things. Mandates are not part of the natural world and there is always an option to defy them. Changing such a thing may not be easy, but it's not impossible. This is what our forefathers instructed us to do in the case of tyranny imposing such things. If you accept these mandates as impossible to change, then you do not deserve freedom. Accepting them without question is worse than acting as a child. At least children rebel when they don't like something arbitrarily decided by someone else.

Your inability to just accept a hypothetical scenario and pitching a fit as if any of us would truly support any of these mandates is childish and fucking retarded. Just answer the question and stop being a cunt.

Where is my fuck you option?

[–] 0 pt

Yeah! Fuck this poll. Any of these would be met by staunch resistance from me.

Found the fatty.

No, but seriously, am I the bad guy for actually wanting to force people to exercise? Holy shit, didn’t think making people reach their physical potential was a bad thing.

Personally, I'm against any sort of authoritarian. It doesn't matter to me how noble you believe your cause, there's no fundamental difference between some blue haired shrieking feminist who wants me castrated, and you, who thinks it's fine to dictate how I live in other ways.

I fucking hate assholes like you who think that just because it's supposed to be good for someone they can tell you how to live. Take for example reading. I love to read. Leave me alone on a summer afternoon in the hammock and I'll devour novels whole. But there's nothing I hated more than in highschool when they forced everyone to stop and read for an hour, to make more people read. It didn't matter how much I loved the activity, being forced into it soured the entire thing.

Likewise, I love to hike. An hour walk would be nothing for me, but fuck you for thinking you have any right to tell me what I can and can't do. And spare me any communist arguments about how it's good for society. Society does fuck all for me, so I'm inclined to return the favor.

[–] 0 pt

For that matter, why a mandate? If you feel so strongly about it why not an incentive? Let me write off ,healthier eating on my taxes, or write off an hours worth of income for every hour exercised? But this authoritarian mindset never thinks to encourage or reward, only to punish.

#2 all you need to do is stop subsidizing the sugar manufacturers and most of the junk food wouldnt be cheaper than real food

[–] 1 pt (edited )

I voted for camps but the realistic option is to ban junk food. Anything above a certain amount of sugar is banned. Or restrict sales to above 21, add warnings to the label like cigarettes. Mandatory exercise won’t help bc you can’t outrun a bad diet.

[–] 0 pt

Because banning works so well on alcohol, drugs, and guns, right?

How about government gets the fuck out of our lives and concentrates on blowing up brown people on the other side of the globe like God intended
