I love a good Scotch, always neat. I'm a big fan of Scotch from the Islay region. Laphroaig 10yr is my go to, but I really liked the bottle of Lagavulin 16yr I had about a year back, and may turn towards it in the future. If you drink it, what brands do you fancy?

Aberlour 16 year. - Better than most 18y scotches I have had. Currently my go-to, but I have expensive taste in scotch. - Priced like most other brands price their 10y or 12y. Around $65 but given the quality I think it is about $20 below the market.

Aberlour 12 year. - What I drink when I cannot find the 16y. Very good. - Better than anything else even close to the price.

Macallan Sherry Oak 12 year - What I drink when I am out of the house and I am ordering off a menu. I rarely see Aberlour on a menu

I'll look into them, I can't say I'm the biggest fan of Sherry aged Scotch though, think I like the smokiness of the Islay region Scotch

That's fair... My preferences are for Speysides and these are some of the best* in my opinion.

*of course there are better Speysides but only if you are rich enough to spend over $120/bottle.
