I feel like it needs no debate honestly, but I'm creating a desktop app for bible learning. Originally I had thoughts to use WPF, however, I am leaning more towards QT. I want the cross compatibility and I am not a fan of WPF being locked into DX. I would prefer the option to use OGL when possible. I also looked into QMl/Quick and I have to say that stuff looks way easier to use than the unholy abomination that is XAML. Even back in the day, WPF was a monumental pain in the butt, since it was merely an extension of Windows Forms with an overly complicated design pattern throw on top. That, and WPF looks all but dead at this point, since it no longers gets release updates from MS.
