1) type or scan bitcoin address into machine (there are websites that let you convert a BTC address to a QR code, take a picture of it, and use that to scan from your phone)
2) put in cash
3) approve quote
4) atm sends BTC to the address from step 1
Typing I guess I understand, but how would you scan an address from a ledger nano, for instance? Do you really have to type it in to the BTC ATM?
Okay, so you can get a mobile app for ledger and with a Trezor, you can display a QR code, with which you'll scan on the machine, which will allow a deposit directly to the mobile device. Okay, cool. I've never used a crypto ATM before and I was also curious how it would work.
You don't need to use their mobile app, although it's probably easier.
Just type the hardware wallet's address into blockchain.com once: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/TYPE_YOUR_ADDRESS_HERE Then take a picture of the QR code to your phone. When you use the ATM, hold the picture of the QR code on the phone up to the ATM's camera.
