I can't tell by the local c-stores, they're always running out of stuff because they get cleaned out of a lot of stuff (snacks, bread, milk, etc.) for the weekend.

The local chain grocers have a lot of empty space with few products in them. They're not "out" per se, but where they'd normally have 20-30 of something they have 2-3. The smaller non-chain grocers don't seem to have any issues with stocking the shelves, which is odd. I usually drive out of my way to a particular store because I know they'll have everything.

Wholesalers are still stocked up old inventory, but you have to rotate through a few to fill shelves. Prices jumped 5-10% this week on new stock. Orders from China are about a year out and no new inventory on a lot of electronics. Production costs are sky high due to natural gas and coal futures. Fertilizer production shut down, so expect increases in byproduct dependent products that rely on gasses like soda and beer. Biden shut down domestic oil production so we're now at the mercy of Russia.

No. I tried to get trash bags at the dollar general today. Not a single one. The paper products were gone. Several aisles were almost empty. Even the sugar drinks are becoming scarce. I'm not sure if it's a logistics problem or lazy worker problem.

No. At least 10% of the goods are not on the shelf. Seems to be random. Half the beer gone one week. Half the potato chips not in stock the next week. No milk the week after that. I call it rolling shortages. Like the rolling blackouts.

Outside of Walmart, it's business as usual here.

You should be ashamed of yourself. Hide your face. Cover it with a large kerchief.

Everywhere I go I see some shelves that are out of stock of specific items. Also many stores have spread stock out... food suppliers pay a grocery store by the foot of shelf space used to display their product... If you see one product spread out over the space of several products you know that the supply chain is paper thin. Many items are clearly not coming back soon and the price stickers have been covered with 'temporarily unavailable'
