In order to travel with your dog, you must have a vet fill out forms and your dog must be rabies vaccinated.
The CDC is not allowing American citizens to go to certain countries deemed high risk for rabies and return with their dogs until some undefined future date.
So if you must have the rabies vaccine to travel, but you can't come back, doesn't that indicate the vaccine doesn't work at all?
I tried to call to talk to someone and they were not remotely helpful. It really makes zero sense. I am wanting to travel to check out a few places as farmland and houses are significantly cheaper in south America, we could pay cash and not sweat it when we're told we can no longer earn an income due to not being injected. But we have two dogs that would need to go with us, I don't have anyone I would want to leave them with.
