Wondering if there's a large difference between the two? My dog needs to be retrained since he lived in the desolate wasteland that is Western Montana. Now that he lives in Northern Colorado, he still has the Montana creed inside him. However, my issue is he's gonna piss off the wrong dog or person one day. So in terms of private vs board and train, which is better?

I agree with this. I learned a long time ago that I don't have the patience or enough know how to train a dog. Its much better if you are the one giving commands during training, especially if you are going to be the one giving the commands later. And having a trainer guide you through the things you thought you knew just makes things easier.
