Canned tuna lasts years. Costco has a pink tuna or salmon (I can't remember) that last 5. And its good on salads if you need to rotate inventory.

Prep for your cat? Its a cat it will find its own food... A dog yes but a cat can fend for its self.

My cats spent their first couple of years as indoor only cats, and they never became great hunters. I am disappointed at how few rodents they bring back.
