That's weird right? At first I was thinking maybe he did it as a token to the Dems or maybe he's required/obligated to do so as Senate Leader for some reason...but why would he have to be the ONLY sponsor? Not a single Senate Dem but their name on that bill. There doesn't even appear to be any co-sponsors. The House bill has like 90 reps signed on.

Dingy Harry would do stuff like this. The Senate Leader has the right/authority/obligation to do certain things so something can be brought up for a vote or brought back up for a vote. It is stupid, but it is a rule in the Senate.

He could be doing it to kill the bill for this session of Congress. Like if they vote on it and it doesn't pass, then I believe it can't be brought back up for the rest of the session.

It could also be to show how crazy Rep. AOC and others are
