I believe in our personal power to change ourselves and others. We are creative beings. When we are sleeping, others can goad and manipulate us into using our creative power against us.

If good belief is anything it is at the very least utilitarian. Useful. I have found synergy in religion specifically Christianity in order that I may not be so world weary.

Ever since the election I've been reading the Bible for answers, which I highly recommend as pretty much every topic is covered "nothing new under the sun" Ecclesiastes. Anyways, did you know the first time 666 is mentioned, it's from King Solomon. He's the son of King David who becomes corrupted by his pagan wives, sets up altars to other gods. It's been said the 6-pointed star is also his, the seal of Solomon, and used for occult practice. Anyways, " The weight of the gold that Solomon received yearly was 666 talents" 1 Kings 10:14

For context, we were forbidden to ever marry or mingle with people who use these symbols and iirc, they were supposed to be wiped out. But since we apparently like to play with fire, these assholes survived to this day, plaguing us all along, only to unleash their current evil scheme.

Drinking and many other vices are downers not uppers. Uppers aren't a good idea either while you're depressed as you're likely to develop borderline personality or other similarly dangerous mental states. You need to level out, quit drinking cold turkey. Get sleep, drink water, exercise, you'll feel incredible after two weeks I promise. I've done it.

Use that time to focus on a hobby or to consider your skillset. How to move forward instead of dwelling. You need a new life and you're not gonna find one where you're at right now. Other people are the root cause of only half of anyone's problems. You're not incarcerated, you're not missing any of your limbs (assumedly), you don't believe crazy shit like that you're a woman or anything like that. Most likely all that's happening is you're drinking, masturbating too much, not eating good food, not formulating mostly positive interactions with people around you, and not looking forward.

Half the problems in your life are under your control.

Not fucking good, I had a decent job at an areospace company for over 2 and half years and just kind of snapped. No I'm so fucked and have been and am at the point where I just can't stop drinking without serious pysical problems. EDIT: I KNEW people who had not had job in 5 years and made more money than me on unemployment, maybe my job wasnt that good.

Yeah I started drinking after they killed half my wife's family and locked us down last year.

It's ok to dip your toes in the devil's water now and again, but it's time to get up now.

1 most important - Go to the woods and start walking/running. Do as much as you can the first day, then get there again the second day a do a little More. KEEP GOING

2 second most important - Go to a gym and start lifting weights. Look up routines online or hire a trainer, just lift. If you can afford gym with hot tub and steam / sauna then do it. Reward your lift with hot tub soak. KEEP GOING

Those two things alone are necessary 6 days per week for any man to not go insane.

3 also important - find a good Church of any denomination you like and start going there. Make sure the leader is not a pozzed hypocrite. You will be around spirit and people working towards God. You will feel better. KEEP GOING

4 optional - get a dog and train him well. They really do make things better.

Have dog, but not trained. Personally, I prefer him this way. In a SHTF scenario, my dog is both a protection dog and a shed dog, and his bark is powerful enough to deter even the dumbest of niggers. I don't want a passive dog who eats bacon all day and sleeps

Having a drinking problem can kill you. Correcting it is your first order of business. Escape monotony at all costs. Explore how drinking hurts you and how it affects your relationships. Do you feel unmotivated because of your drinking, or do you drink because you're unmotivated? When has drinking made anything easier for you? Do you feel healthier when drinking? Do people enjoy being around you when you're drunk? How many of your friends do you drink with and how often? When was the last time you did something fun without drinking? How often do you choose drinking over things that are more likely to help you prosper? If you had an older brother, would he confront you about how often you drink? What about your dad?

You can stop drinking. Even though drinking isn't always a bad thing, it tends to amplify our other problems. Drink to celebrate, to enjoy company. Drinking to numb feelings you aren't comfortable with is self-harm. You wouldn't stab yourself, would you?

All of the advice in this thread is good.

Here is some more, maybe you will find it useful:

  • We have dedicated winner and loser circuits in our heads. I don't know to what degree we are or can be taught to control them but I can turn mine off and on. It's hard to tell, but I have started to recognize a dominance fight between the two circuits, meaning that if one circuit gets lazy the other starts to dominate my pre-frontal cortex and vice versa I can tell when the they exchange the dominant position. There are times when the world feels like it is caving in and I can feel that I can turn on the winner circuit and within seconds it starts to dominate again and I am back to what I consider normal.

  • Some people here have asked questions about this forcing me to try and think about why, if they do actually exist, what would their evolutionary benefit be? Because I have been in business for a while I understand risk in real terms. Basically, if you compare starting a business vs having a job, having a job is 99% of the time way way way better for you because it is low risk, steady income and if you shave off 10% to 25% ofyour income and invest over your lifetime into something that that returns dividends you will be way richer than a business owner. Starting a business is a high risk activity and it rehouldn't really be wasting resources but saving them. Engaging the winner circuitry probably forces us to engage in highly risky behaviour and most risky behaviour most of the time just wastes all of your resources and you fail. Only a small percentage of those that engage the winnner circuitry win, but when they win they win big. From an evolutionary perspective, it pays for most of the tribe members to engage the loser circuitry instead of the winner circuitry buecause you only want a few members of the tribe to go out on risky behaviours because most of them won't come back but those that do they will come with huge wins that everyone benefits from.quires a specific set of skills to deal with those risks, most business owners fail or if they succeed it is so marginal that they barely bought them selves a job, so a business is far more risky notion. Along those lines of thinking, if I tried to explain why most people engage the loser circuitry is because from an evolutionary perspective it is a way to force you to conserve energy and stop doing risky behaviour in difficult times or in any time you shouldn't really be wasting resources but saving them. Engaging the winner circuitry probably forces us to engage in highly risky behaviour and most risky behaviour most of the time just wastes all of your resources and you fail. What I am trying to get at, it is normal to feel depressed. It is your body telling you to hunker down and store your resources because it senses rainy days now and in the future.

Now, I do know how to tickle the winner circuitry without engaging it so that you don't end up in a spiral: You need to temporarily remove all negative people from your sensory access (no seeing, hearing, feeling, being even close to any of these people) and instead surround your self with those that have their winner circuits engaged.

The way this works is that you, the personality with the firstname lastname label is just a piece of software sitting in your pre-frontal cortex. You and I don't control very much of what goes on in our brain. Our brains absorb information from the world around us through osmosis bypassing the pre-frontal cortex (us). This means that, while you cannot control much of what your brain absorbs you CAN control what stimuli your brain is surrounded by. Surround your self with those whose winner circuitry is engaged and your brain will absorb that and your mirror neurons will start to mirror their frame of mind.

Anyway, those are the mechanics of how all of this works in my experience.
