I think it’s overblown. While I’m not a fan of the Vatican, since the office has been largely political from its foundation, the local clergy are historically often less inclined to SJW shit, and, until recently (recent being the last few decades), had been trying to remain vanguards for pro-life, sanctity of marriage, and anti-divorce standards, particularly among whites. This whole anti-priest movement was pretty handily summed up by Norm MacDonald in his takedown of “teachers, the real heroes,” when he said a kid is more likely, statistically speaking, to be fucked by a public school teacher than a priest, but the PR campaigns push teachers as “frontline heroes” and priests as “evil hypocritical child molesters.” Meanwhile, rabbis suck baby cock and face no consequences. Go figure.
