Honestly, get out of my head. You and I are very close in ideologies. If I didn't have kids, I would definitely live a more transient lifestyle. I lived on a sailboat for seven years already, so I'm used to it and know of what I speak.
Wish I could home-school the kids. Alas, it just wouldn't work out well for the kids I have. Already thought long and hard about this. So wish that I could.
I'm not too worried about my employment. I work 100% remote now and don't see that changing. Not a big deal. And I have other options if this falls apart.
Thanks so much for the thoughts.
How long you think until conservative states fall to the mandates?
I don't think they will fold, at least the majority of states. I'm assuming this covid shit is going to pass in a few years and replaced by climate crisis or financial crisis and will see different types of problems and pressure to get these status under control. Which is another reason why I want to be flexible with my work the state I'm in. Sadly it really comes down to who the governor is at the time.
Good point about the new crises. Thank you.
