With state of Australia being the way that it is right now, I'm wondering:

Are any of you starting to regret turning your guns in to the government a few years ago?

You're muddying the waters because you're stating that Australians are defenseless, when they are not. Sure, they may not have as many guns - but it does not mean there isn't other means to defend oneself.

I never said they are defenseless, I said they’re charging police with their fists, which they are, while Americans would have guns. The guy I was responding to was basically saying Americans are in the same boat as aussies, and that’s just delusional Aussie speak. Do you agree or disagree?

Edit: additionally, can you name any war that was won by the side that started without guns?

But there are other means other than fists which are weapons, some of which could arguably be even more dangerous than a gun.

Bombs are useful but not practical in a confrontation or for procuring other arms. I’m having a hard time figuring out anything else that would be more useful in a war than a gun
