I just purchased a second Berkey water filter system. I purchased a travel Berkey as I already have a royal Berkey.

My family thinks it was a waste of money, then again they think my little stockpile is. I believe I will have food and water when it becomes unavailable to the general public.

What about you guys?

How do you prep your beans and such for storage?

I don't do anything in particular except store them in air tight buckets ordered by date. I've heard to freeze them and use moisturizer packs to remove moisture, but I'm not going to do any of that. I plan to eat them by date. I'm not going to store them over a couple of years so I'll see how it goes. I do have a dehumidifier to keep humidity below 55%.
