WTF? Dog showed up in the country starvin, he has had the best life since then. After a couple years he actually ran off today, its his choice. I saved his ass if he wants to go back who am I to stop him? And btw, Im not social.

How was he able to just run off? If the answer is " he just stays out in a large property all day" how do you know it wasn't predators? You just found him a couple of years ago, so don't really know how old he is. Did you take him to the vet regularly and get everything addressed? Some old dogs, when they know it is their time, go off to a secluded spot and just pass away. Have you done a thorough search of your grounds?
He was at the house 3/4 miles up the road. They know him but yes he is a country dog, not old. He has been here two years at least and when I took him to the shooting range once he just hauled ass back to the house. In the country everyone knows someone who is a vet.
Im not gonna keep this up, if he leaves its up to him. He will come back or not.
May just be out getting some.
