Have not traveled commercially for many years and have always traveled either private or by car. Try as I might to arrange an alternative, circumstances are going to require two domestic commercial flights in the next several weeks.

What's the low down on airports these days? Has security changed much from a decade ago? Is it better to check or carryon luggage with wuflu rules? Do I need to be concerned about getting kicked off a flight for not wearing a mask in firstbuisness?

Any other tips are appreciated.

I've done quite a bit of flying this year.

What's the low down on airports these days? They are crowded and understaffed, as least as far as the major hubs go.

Has security changed much from a decade ago? The TSA lines are longer and the Pre-Check system does little to alleviate the crowds. The average traveler can't read signs and understand simple tasks.

Is it better to check or carryon luggage with wuflu rules? For short trips I carry on a bag. If I'm staying longer I check luggage. This one aspect isn't really noticeably different.

Do I need to be concerned about getting kicked off a flight for not wearing a mask in firstbuisness? Hell yes, you need to worry about it. The flight attendants I've encountered are not in the mood to hear anything like logical arguments or common sense. They've been told to enforce the mask mandates and they do it.

That is not a status that allows you to skirt the rules. Have you not seen the dozens of videos of families with children and/or disabled people in their party getting booted off flights? The mask thing is stupid, but it's serious to them.

They don't give a crap about 6 feet of social distancing, because that would actually hurt profits. But the mask... yeah they will not look kindly.

I have seen lots of videos of our illustrious elites in first class not wearing masks. And I have experienced personally the difference of rules between the perceived commoners and the perceived affluent.

The masks are about class warfare and control dynamics as anything else.

Put on mask. Check in at the front and get your boarding pass. Walk over to security. Show them your ID and boarding pass. Walk over to where all the plastic tubs are. Put all your shit in a plastic tub. Put your belt and shoes in there too. Walk through gay scanner. Get all your stuff. Go to your gate. Wait until told to board. Get on plane.

I haven’t flown since the vaccine mandates, so I don’t really know how they are handling all that. But they make you wear masks. The one way around that is to always be eating or drinking, or at least have a drink in your hand. As long as you’re eating or drinking you don’t have to wear a mask, so bring a bunch of nuts and waters and every time they come by take a sip/ bite. This has worked for me a few times within the past year

This was a good tip. Had a pocket full of pistachios and every time she gave me shit i would eat one and then drop the shell on the floor. She stoppped checking in me real quick. Worked perfectly. Good call.

The TSA is probably going to ass rape you via someone else's ass and always do carry-on if it is possible.

Much the same but useless security theater. Some decent upgrades at some airports. You can charge your laptop/mobile phone at charging stations. Look out for the free wi-fi connections: some of that is bullshit and not legit (they just want to snoop your traffic and/or steal your logon credentials to various stuff).

Not much. It's still useless theater. But, hey, you may get randomly selected to get molested.

No. No change, here. Take your stuff with you especially if you're going to need it (medications, electronics, headphones, pillows, etc.).

Yes. Almost across the board (pun intended). It's best to just wear a mask if you want to use planes to travel. Your risk getting black listed and not be able to use flights. You can pretend to wear a mask and put it on your chin and keep "forgetting" to put it up.

Don't travel if you're feeling ill, obviously. You can get in serious trouble or your day ruined.

They will not let you fly if you're sick. In some instances, you may have to pay a reschedule fee OR you could get stuck in the airport. Worst possible scenario is to show up ill, they notice, and you get "quarantined."

if they ask you to turn your head and cough you were supposed to go through security for that the guards at the entrance arent supposed to do that
