My job has a mandate pending union "negotiations." It doesn't look promising and I have no illusions about the nature and politics of the union bosses. There is about a 52% injection acceptance rate. The number of hold-outs is dwindling fast. I anticipate being terminated. At that point I have no idea, but I've never felt the way I feel right now. It's a constant, smoldering anger.
I feel you. I am trying to get ahead of this on the safety and health side. Maybe have some beers or a webex with the union safety units and start thinking this through using the industrial exposure control models. This is fruitful fucking ground I assure you. Look at some of my recent posts on how to approach this.
It is inarguable that the vax cannot be considered as a hazard control, and can be easily contested on these grounds. This leaves the company in two bad positions: 1) policy fuck you that is why 2) this did not prevent Norma's lost time occupational illness and you said it would. What is the exposure limit? Are you measuring it? Did you complete elimination, administrative, and engineering controls? Etc.
It will be a shitshow for management and they are just operating on easy mode and are about to get devoured by employees on one side and OSHA on the other. Add the union while you are at it.
Give them hell.
