If 100% of the hospitals in the US were 100% full, how many people would that be? My guess is less than 5% of the total population. Does anyone know where to find these stats? Is it findable?

About 1 million total beds, 350 million US citizens.

I ended up finding some data on this and you are spot on. As of 2017 it was just under a million and the reports say that number is decreasing.

from 0-100% depending on the problem

Nope. There's no way for you to fit 100% of the population in hospitals.

A hospital may have 100 physical beds on hand, but the number of staff limits the number of beds available.

I'm willing to allow for just counting beds. Not staff. I know the number is extremely small and will fit the argument while giving the other side a "generous concession".
