Just curious. You can never have too many knives. Never.

Some good Cold Steel knives at the moment.

None. I had them with me on that sailing trip when all of my guns fell overboard into the ocean. Before that, however, I had quite the collection.

Did you loose your precious metals too?

Did you loose your precious metals too?

As a matter of fact, yes. It was a tragedy of epic proportions.

An EDC knife and a Tactical Knife are two very very different things.

[–] 0 pt

Not always, but you might look like a douche if you can't tell the difference.

Not always

Yes, ALWAYS.

A EDC makes tactical compromises in favor of every day convenience. Anything practical enough to carry every day is not optimal for combat.

I'm sure there is someone out there that carries a K-Bar every day but Just because someone carries a tactical knife every day does not make that knife a 'EDC knife'.

EDC knife is as real a category as "assault weapon".

Imma carry my kabar around everywhere and look like a douche today, just for spite.

What was that fed boy?

An old KaBar and a little Buck penknife.

Had one of them spike bayonets on a SKS, but that's in a river because I can't canoe.

I want one of those Buck automatics, but $200 seema a bit steep for a pocketknife.

Those knives are built to last. Was thinking of investing in a Warthog.

My edc is a Milwaukee fastback. Never had need for a tactical but could always use a good chopper. If it came down to needing a tactical, I would probably just grab one of my larger skinning knives.

I thought that fastback would have been an overhyped box cutter, but that thing is fucking sick. I may use it as my new edc

It's the best I've found. I have a few of the other brands versions but they don't compare.

Is it a good long term piece to collect?

I go in a lot of crawlspaces. The only time the knife gives me problems is when it falls out of my pocket. I have several simply because I have a tendency to lose tools. I should also mention that I usually have a pack of replacement blades nearby at all times. I'm an electrician and I use 5 tools daily. My drill, wire strippers, hammer, 9-in-1 screwdriver, and this knife. The knife is the only tool that stays in my pocket when work is done. You should know this is basically a box cutter and not a pocket knife. But I haven't found a need for a longer blade in my daily routines. Also, they have apparently brought out a new version that has blade storage and and even screwdriver bits attached. I prefer the stripped down original version because of the size. It's definitely worth the less than $15 price.
