It's not true. In fact, it's acknowledged it really wasn't a dark age at all. Much progress developed during this period. But disease and war distracted from much of it.

Basically both the "dark ages" and "Christianity caused it" are now accepted as myths. Would be interested to determine which group created and pushed this mythos.

I thought the dark ages came along becauze the plague raped the population it I might have timelines all screwed up
