Am I stupid to have been working this whole time? How much free money are people really getting there at the moment? Come to think of it I have no fricking idea how much free gimmies are being given in Australia as well. I mean I know broadly that some support is being given. But now how much and how long.

you clearly misunderstood the unemployment. I went on unemployment so ill explain.

Its an additional $600 a week ontop of what the state unemployment was.

so if you lived in Mississippi where normally you would get $235 a week that was increased to $835

If you lived in Massachusetts where you would normally get $823 that would be increased to $1423

its why nobody can find workers. who the fuck is going to work construction in the hot sun for $700 a week when you can sit on your ass for $850?

Why even work for 900 or 1000 if 850 is basically free? Dont have to drive to work 5 days a week.No responsibilities. Its why there is a shortage in even middle class jobs. Parents can stay home and not have daycare costs along with the other savings.
