A VSD is the most common heart defect that is normally diagnosed after birth, and it often requires surgery depending on the size. I’m a concerned parent with a 6 month old daughter who was born prematurely and diagnosed with a VSD. I’ve lost all trust in the medical community over the last few years, and I’m scared to put my little girl through this surgery, especially having read the potential “side effects”; one being death. I don’t know where to begin with research or what to do. The size of the hole in her heart is “moderate” and they don’t believe it’ll close up on its own. This is a 20k surgery, and given the recent medical malpractice surrounding covid, I do not want to put my daughter through this. I don’t want to believe they’re pushing it on us because of the price tag. I’ve already lost my grandma to the vaccine a few months ago, and I don’t want to lose my baby girl due to selfishness, greed and corruption.

I don't trust the Healthcare industry at all but they have a monopoly on things like this. If the problem is real you don't have much choice but I've seen doctors recommend things that aren't necessary before so I'd think about that. If there's no consequence to delay that would be an option, and just try to find real experiences from others who have gone through the same thing. Watch for your doctor being heavyhanded and pushy about it.

And most importantly, take any advice you get from here with a big grain of salt. Free speech doesn't always mean smart speech and you can find some very bad advice along with the good in places like this.
